Cannons in Washington, DC
A few months ago, I had the incredible opportunity of photographing the beautifully ethereal Cannons on their co-headlining tour with Bob Moses in Washington, DC. Taking over The Anthem, Cannons blew the entirety of the theater away with their stunning performance. Take a look at my gallery below to experience some major FOMO photos by eva
inji electrifies washington, dc
About 2 years ago, I had the amazing opportunity to photograph rising pop-star Inji at The Atlantis in Washington, DC. About 2 weeks ago, I had the same amazing opportunity to photograph her at the 9:30 Club; Atlantis' larger sister venue. Both performances blew my expectations out of the water - the ecstatic energy Inji brought to the stage flowed throughout the audience who returned it right back to her. Singing, dancing, laughing, yelling, and everything in-between flooded
Young the Giant Started off June in The Florida Leg of Their Victory Garden Tour, With cold War Kids and Almost Monday
It was such a pleasure at the beginning of this month catching Young the Giant again in South Florida. While I covered them a few years ago in Miami, this time around was a bit further north in Fort Lauderdale at the War Memorial Auditorium, a beautiful relatively new venue (that happens to be right next door to where I'm living now)! Young the Giant is currently on their US Victory Garden tour, showcasing their newest album that was released on May 1st this year. Playing the

E.R. Fightmaster kicked off their All or Nothing Tour with a sold out hometown performance at El Cid in Los Angeles, marking it as the first stop of the tour to sell out. Throughout the night, they balanced the set with fan favorites, newer releases, and first-ever live performances of unreleased songs from their upcoming album, including “Minotaur,” “Glide,” and another song jokingly referred to as “the one for divorcees.” Between songs, Fightmaster admitted they hadn’t prep

trophy wife release "paragraph" - a diy masterpiece
Every song Trophy Wife releases feels more representative of their capabilities than the last. Emerging as a standout in the New York DIY scene, their latest single “Paragraph” has the vocally driven, instrumentally-shaped storytelling that was showcased in their previously released album Get Ugly, and will be ever present on their upcoming album Pathetic (set to be released July 10th). “Paragraph” follows “Kind of Girl I Am” which to me, feels starkly different from the son
los angeles swoons over megan colton
Megan Colton, one of my favorite Eurydices in Hadestown, played a small, intimate show at the Wonzimer Art Gallery in Los Angeles, giving us a first listen to unreleased songs from her upcoming album, The Loft. Named after her grandparents’ loft cabin, the project was described as a collection of memories, spanning heartbreak ballads, love songs, and what she jokingly called “one of the most evil songs” she has ever written. A lot of fans in the audience had dressed up follow
a review of the maine's joy next door
The Maine’s Joy Next Door feels like laying a picnic blanket out somewhere between nostalgia for one’s younger days and gratitude for the present moment. The band contemplates aging amid the triumph of finally becoming “sort of famous” after nearly twenty years together. The acoustic chords on the opening track, “Green”, move with the breeziness of blades of grass, guiding the listener into thirty-nine minutes of clean, sunny instrumentals. I hear hints of country twang on tr

jeff draco - a look into excess
A few weeks ago, I sat down (on the internet) with Jeff Draco to discuss the release of his latest album Excess, the modern-age yearning for community, and the worlds largest chest of drawers. Residing in the Washington, DC area since 2018, Jeff has become a staple within the capital's indie-pop music scene. With his unforgettable live performances across the DMV area at iconic venues such as the 9:30 Club, as well as touring cross-country with artists such as The Thing With
clarion in columbus
Recently, our photographer Lennon was able to catch LA-based Clarion in my favorite strangely-shaped state: Ohio! A few words from Lennon below, as well as her beautiful gallery from the show. (I hope you're keeping up with Clarion already, you don't wanna miss their California May shows with Panchiko) "Clarion put on a killer show on at the Rumba Café in Columbus, Ohio this past week! Their energy and passion in playing their songs got the entire crowd jumping, smiling, and
how my own voice sounds - an interview with sub*t
I recently had the opportunity to e-chat with one of my favorite duos - Sub*T. With the release of their debut album How My Own Voice Sounds approaching (coming out this Friday by the way!), we talk in-depth about their creative process behind the album, how the world of 2019 stan Twitter brought them together, and much more that I can't bear to spoil for you. Make sure to keep up with Sub*T on the interwebs, you don't wanna miss them taking over the scene in 2026! words by E
together pangea + the high curbs
Last weekend, I took the massive trip (30 minute drive from my house) down to Baltimore City to see one of my favorite bands ever. I've been catching Together Pangea's headlining shows in the DMV for close to 10 years now, moving from Metro Gallery in 2017 to Baltimore SoundStage in 2026, and everywhere in-between. On a co-headlining tour with The Red Pears and The High Curbs as the show's opener, all three California based bands put on an unforgettable performance. Take a lo
a look into "the weight" with cashier
The title track "The Weight" is your final and most recently released single off of the EP — what does that phrase mean to you, and how did it come to represent the record as a whole?
I think as we get older, we are more aware of our mortality and our role in life, our interactions and how they affect the version of us that is perceived by others. I feel the weight we carry can be heavy.
