Get Off My Phone by The Driver Era

Typically coined as an alt-pop duo, The Driver Era’s first offering of the new year “Get Off My Phone” is certainly a call out to the band’s ability to find that perfectly interesting balance of alternative and pop through the use of personal lyricism, gritty vocals, and a chorus that bounces with energy. The track’s introduction is steady and serene with smooth isolated vocals accompanied by simple, rhythmic guitar chords. Traction is soon swiftly gained as the song begins to build quickly all the way until the strikingly bold chorus comes crashing through full force in true Driver Era fashion. Through “Get Off My Phone,” Ross and Rocky Lynch have gifted us with a breakup anthem packed full of edgy guitar hooks and a rhythmic chorus that is impossible to not dance along to. Ross and Rocky’s ability to construct one addictively catchy tune after another is bewildering, and their undeniably vibrant energy pours through into each song. “Get Off My Phone” is an electrifying, fun, and flamboyant track that perfectly captures the essence of The Driver Era and everything that they’re about.
