thread by clara mann

Clara Mann’s new single, ‘Thread’, is a dreamlike escape from a hectic world. It’s her first release with new management, 7476, home to artists such as Matt Maltese and tinyumbrellas.

Serene guitar echoes warmly, like the sun rising through sweet green pine trees in the springtime. It’s Mann’s vocals that are the true force of this track; there is such a soothing strength behind every word she sings that it stops you in your tracks. Her vocals feel as though they were made to be rooted in the earthy folk of Mann’s songs.

‘Thread’ is like a film reel of grief and reflection, jittering in sepia tone. There is something perennial about Clara Mann as an artist – her music is a stilled moment in time, captured in a fuse of fiddle and piano. It’s clear how much Mann has grown as an artist, and I can’t wait to continue to be suspended in the serenity of her stories.
