From getting thousands of views on TikTok and opening for many artists such as Widowspeak, Movements, and UltraQ, San Francisco based Ha Vay is back with a new EP called, “ROMANCE HYPERACTIVE”. The opening track “the prettier the girl” is a wave of rush. Mixing in lyrical elements of english and french and catchy drum beats, this tune is the perfect escape into Hay Vay’s world. The EP follows somewhat a femme fatale theme: the raw emotion of a woman who falls back in between with love and rage. With beautiful illusive sounds, fun and danceable rhythms, and Maddy Toy’s way of capturing a story, this ep is the best way to let yourself get lost with others. Or maybe just yourself, Ha Vay makes music for the dream girls. My favorite track off the EP is “sharpen your teeth”, it’s dark and sensual; quite different to their usual sound of dream pop.
