The Dune Flowers are back with their new EP I Don't Mind with inspiration coming from country, folk and rock from 28 demos to 5 incredible tracks. I Don't Mind is about losing friends who've come and go throughout the past year and unfortunate situations that we get ourselves into sometimes. Each track was born from a different mindset, and which has some type of vulnerability to it. The EP starts off with "Sweet Home Tennessee" brings us the country vibe we mentioned earlier, with the twangy guitar strums and country esque vocals it's a great start to the album. "Highway Sound" starts of with banging drums, a bit of a bluesy feeling too it, which I really enjoyed! It'll remind you of ending credits to an indie film, the mixture of different genres on I Don't Mind makes it so much fun to listen too, because every track is different, but similar in it's own way. "The Grave" brings balance to the album, a slow track that mixes it all together. There's honesty hidden in the lyrics, and vulnerability. "Noise" is an interlude track, mixed with sirens and morphed talking. The beginning of the track "I Don't Mind It" reminds you a bit of The Black Keys, will 100% be your favorite song on the album. Starts off with low bass, and strumming of an acoustic guitar, vocals come in and it all just makes sense. The album finishes with "For Cynthia" with beautiful vocals, strumming and lyrics with more vulnerability for someone who basically want to be with and the things you want to do with them. A short and sweet love song. All in all I Don't Mind It is a perfect summer EP, you'll have in repeat for the rest of the summer.
