Florida-based band Quarter Roy haven't been around long, though you would never know. Comprised of vocalist/rhythm guitarist Gabi Yost, lead guitarist Tyler Cooper-Kolb and bassist Kaylie Gesky, the band's infectious indie pop, akin to the likes of Beach Bunny and Soccer Mommy, make them feel like seasoned professionals. QR released their first EP Small Talk, followed shortly by sultry single "Monday," within the last year. Between cranking out tunes and playing gigs alongside names like Surfer Blood and Dinner Time, the group has been building a dedicated following around their hometown of St. Augustine and beyond.

"Darlin'" is the first single from the band's second EP of the same name, set to be released later this month. Like the rest of the Quarter Roy's discography, it is short and sweet, yet sticks in your head long after the final note hits. Yost's quiet crooning feels like a warm blanket, the guitar riffs reminiscent of the Beach Boys and all of those great love songs from the 60's (lyrics like "You look like rock n' roll" complete the picture perfectly). "Darlin'" is the ultimate track to sway to with your significant other this Valentine's Day, or to let. envelope you before bed, lingering in that sweet space between consciousness and sleep. However you choose to indulge, Quarter Roy are sure to have you falling in love nonetheless.
