sarah shot state champs at their biggest US headliner yet!!! check out the pics and her review of the concert :)

On Sunday March 9, 2019, State Champs played their biggest headlining show that they’ve ever done in the US. The line outside of the House of Blues Boston was around the block, and it was nice to see so many people there early to see all of the openers as well. The House of Blues is an awesome venue and I was looking forward to seeing it filled with State Champs fans singing all of the words back to their performance. Grayscale started the night off with a powerful set, and the energy was already out the roof at 6:30 pm. This band is great at getting the crowd excited and psyched for the show. Next up was The Dangerous Summer, which I had previously heard many good things about from the other bands on the line up. Their set was very intriguing and the lead singer, AJ Perdomo, has a very strong voice that captured the attention of everyone in the room. They ended the set with AJ singing in the middle of the crowd and walking through the GA pit to get back to the stage. The last opener was Our Last Night, who killed it with their power vocals and catchy guitar riffs. They finished off their set with a slower song where the crowd all held up their phone lights, making the room look gorgeous. State Champs graced us with their presence around 9:30, and opened with the song, Criminal. People were instantly moshing and crowd-surfing and the audience was going crazy. Derek, Ryan, Evan, Tyler and Tony all gave their 200% onstage, and you could tell how happy they were to be there. They played a perfect mix between new songs and old songs, and every single person in the room was singing along to every song. It was such an honor to be a part of State Champs’ biggest headliner, and I’m so proud of them for selling out the show!
